in san jose, police are investigating the city's 37th homicide of the year. this happened on rogers avenue near the 880/101 interchange. christie smith is joining us live with more on what happened. >> reporter: good morning to you, marla. right now rogers avenue is blocked near brokaw. this is an industrial area, quite a few warehouses and a handful of small businesses. what we are seeing this morning is san jose police officers and homicide investigators going in and out by what appears to be a coffee shop. haven't seen them taking bags of evidence yet but we know about 1:45 this morning san jose police received a 911 call of a person shot on the 1700 block of rogers avenue in north san jose. police arrived and found one man down, shot at least one time. he was pronounced dead at the scene about 15 minutes later. the victim hasn't been identified just yet. police say at least one suspect got away. no description of that person yet. i do have calls into san jose police to see if they have any more information for us. as soon as i hear from them, i'll let you
